About PGP 2.64ui

This is PGP 2.64ui, the successor to PGP 2.6ui, 2.62ui, and 2.63ui,
an unofficial international release of the famous public key
encryption program, based originally on version 2.3a.

Refer to files README.1st and README.2nd for history and justification
of previous versions, which also apply to 2.64ui.

2.64ui incorporates the following changes and fixes from 2.63ui.

More robust armortext handling.

Some mailer systems will change a capital F in text to =46.
Probably this is for recognizing "From" at the start of a new
message and to insure a false indication of a new message does not
occur. PGP 2.64ui contains code to automatically handle this
situation and to avoid some crashes with other bad armortext.

Error checking of numeric parameters in CONFIG.TXT

PGP now checks for valid numeric parameters (e.g. VERBOSE=).

2.64ui fixes some bugs in LabelEncrypt and signature verify output
if Verbose=0

While 2.64ui does not handle the new DSS/DH keys generated by PGP
version 5, it has been modified to give only a single warning
message if such keys are found in the keyring files.

The output format of -kv has been slightly modified for
compatibility with Private Idaho.

Support (in source code) for WATCOM Compiler by Georg Bauer

Use of fast 386 assembly code for MD5 Signature digests by
Wojtek Pilorz. Note: previous code is used if PGP is run on a 286
or 808x CPU. Also use of 386 assembly code may be disabled by
setting environment variable MD5NO386 to any value.
